All roads lead to Childress Farm!
Choose the option which fits you best from the menu below:
OPTION 1: FROM I-20 ~
exit South from either EXIT 313 ( (FM2228) or EXIT 319 (Putnam). Both roads will lead directly into Cottonwood.
Then go 1 mile WEST to the "T", then turn left and go 1 more mile SOUTH to the home on the right side of the road where the adobe entryway says "Childress" (you will use this entry to purchase pecans or peaches). OR, go another 1/3 mile SOUTH to the large white sign on the left side of the road which says "Bob & Lavonne Childress". At that point, turn into that entryway and go all the way to the top of the hill to their home (to purchase blackberries and trees).
OPTION 2: From Cross Plains, TX ~
take Hwy 880 (northwest of town), and drive 7 miles to Cottonwood.
OPTION 3: From Hwy. 36,
about 5 miles W. of Cross Plains, look for the "CHILDRESS FARM" sign on the North side of the road on CR422. Now, all you need to do is follow the arrows for 4 miles of maintained dirt road directly to the farm.
